This Kona bean is a very special Reserve single origin, which means each and every bean comes from one single reserve so you know they are all grown from/on the same farm and processed in the raw cherry which comes from the coffee plants which are all grown the same way and on the same Reserve lot. This way, all coffee beans are as equal in flavor as they can be. We only buy fair trade beans that are single origin. Many of our beans are even as scarse as micro lot. Only 1-2 bags are roasted at one time to make sure they're as custom and fresh at your door as possible. This bean grows nearest Kona's amazing Volcanoes, which help lend its smoky but sweet flavor and dense soil. We usually roast our Kona at a medium to medium-dark but can be done to your taste if you care to write your roast preference in comments or notes to seller when ordering.
