Guatemala Fair Trade Organic (FTO) coffee, cultivated with meticulous adherence to organic and fair-trade standards, offers a harmonious blend of flavors: smooth vanilla, luscious caramel, rich cocoa, and toasted almond warmth. Opting for a medium roast best captures these delicate nuances, highlighting the coffee's brightness and intricate flavor profile. By choosing Guatemala FTO, you support ethical and environmentally friendly practices in the coffee industry while indulging in a delightful coffee experience Farm Notes: Santa Cruz farm lies in close proximity to another esteemed farm we purchase from in the Hoja Blanca area of Huehuetenango, Finca Regalito. Both nestled in the Cuilco region, situated in the northern reaches of Huehuetenango bordering Chiapas, Mexico, these farms are under the diligent care of the Villatoro family. Aurelio Villatoro oversees the wet mill, while his nephew, Antonio, specifically tends to the operations at Santa Cruz and Finca Regalito. We have a strong affinity for the coffees produced here and meticulously evaluate numerous batch samples from both farms to select the finest qualities they have to offer. This particular lot consists of 50 bags, representing a harmonious blend of two lots from the farm that exhibit interchangeable cup flavors. Santa Cruz farm's elevation ranges from 1,400 to just under 1,550 meters above sea level. While not considered extremely high altitude for Guatemala, coffee cultivation in this region is limited to approximately 1,750 meters due to the cooler climate. This climate slows down cherry maturation, contributing to enhanced seed density and quality. The main image for this coffee features Antonio and his uncle Aurelio, who diligently manage the operations at Santa Cruz farm, ensuring the production of exceptional coffee beans.
